Decide With a Clear Mind

Ananda-X Daily Digest poster: Decide With a Clear Mind, a three-step values-based decision practice

A simple Ananda-X decision practice for separating facts, emotions and values before choosing a next step.

The idea

Clarity does not require the absence of emotion. It comes from seeing what is known, recognising your present state and choosing in line with your values.

A simple three-step practice

1. Settle before choosing

Pause long enough to notice urgency, fear, excitement or pressure. Avoid major decisions at the peak of reactivity when possible.

2. Separate facts from stories

Write what you know, what you assume and what still needs to be checked.

3. Choose by values

Ask which option best supports integrity, responsibility and the long-term result you want to create.

Reflection question

If fear and approval were removed, which value would guide this decision?
