An Ananda-X practice for protecting attention by simplifying commitments and creating space between activities.
The idea
A crowded schedule can make every task feel urgent. A clean schedule reflects priorities, includes recovery and leaves room to respond thoughtfully.
A simple three-step practice
1. See the whole day
Review every commitment, including preparation, travel, recovery and unfinished work.
2. Remove or reduce
Cancel, shorten, delegate or postpone one item that does not serve today’s real priorities.
3. Protect the spaces
Leave a short margin before important activities. Use that time to arrive, breathe and begin deliberately.
Reflection question
Which commitment is costing more attention than it deserves?
Use this today
Use this at the beginning of the week, before accepting a new commitment or whenever you feel constantly rushed.
